Fox spritesheet -WIP- by SorcererLance Fox spritesheet -WIP- by SorcererLance
a while ago I did this and suddenly stopped for some reason.

I've been also wanting to fiddle around with sprites and one day use them in a platformer game based on the Genesis/Megadrive/SNES era... I might finish this spritesheet and make more if I ever get the drive to do this again.

currently I only have him in his default standing position and attacking position (sword would be a separate sprite effect)

Really good, would be really cool if you create a game with your characters ^_^

So...Does that mean that a majority of the game will be centered around feet, like always? :3

I'd also like to try to make a game of my OCs someday... but I still too lazy to figure out the tutorials of OpenBOR, for instance. :(

Anyhoo, neat sprites, fella! ;)

I simply used Photoshop for these

I drew up the character and shrunk it down to 80x80 pixels, traced it using the pencil tool pixel by pixel and applied the colors, then replaced the black outline with a darker color of the color next to it... like light brown colors = dark brown outline

It's kinda easy, but tedious and time-consuming... I respect the sprite artists who made the Metal Slug games.

Actually, I always though an easy way to make such sprites.

My real problem is having patience to figure out and properly use a game engine, such as OpenBOR or even Games Factory.

Honestly, I've had my eye on a program called Game Maker which doesn't seem too expensive to buy and not too hard to figure out how to program since supposedly it does most of it for you.
